Polish Rifle Drill
This is our best interpretation of WWII period rifle drill as generally used by troops of the Polish 1st Corps 1941-46. Our study has included original manuals, photos and some rare newsreel footage. In comparing documentation between the 1st and 2nd Corps in Italy, it appears there were possibly some regional differences in drill. The Dragoons for instance did not use any form of arms inspection while in ranks. It was specifically intimated by our veteran advisers that the weapons were always expected to be clean and serviceable. It was therefore considered superfluous to check while in formation in front of your officers. The NCO's would've taken care of such inspections long before falling in as a platoon. Please keep in mind when viewing these demonstrations that we are operating with Polish as a second language. That being the case, some variation in pronunciation my be apparent.
